Terms of use

Last updated: November 8, 2026

Gymbori is a tool for writing down your workouts. What you do in the gym is your decision and your responsibility.

Agreeing to these terms

By using Gymbori or our websites, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use them. If you are under 18, use Gymbori only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

Not medical advice

Gymbori is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Nothing in the app or on our websites is medical, health, fitness or professional training advice, and none of it replaces advice from a doctor or other qualified professional.

Talk to a doctor before you start or change an exercise program, especially if you are pregnant, injured, or have a heart condition or any other health condition. Stop exercising and get medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or shortness of breath.

The exercises are not recommendations

The exercises built into Gymbori are a list of names to make logging faster. Including an exercise does not mean we suggest it, or that it is safe or suitable for you. Gymbori does not teach you how to perform an exercise or tell you what to do.

The numbers the app fills in or shows you, such as your previous sets, default rest times, personal records and estimated one-rep max, are records and rough calculations. They are not targets or instructions, and they may be wrong.

Your responsibility

You alone decide which exercises to do, how much weight to lift, how many sets and reps to do, and how long to rest. You are responsible for training safely, using correct form, using equipment properly, staying within your own limits, and getting a spotter or a qualified trainer when you need one.

Risks of exercise

Exercise carries inherent risks, including serious injury and death. You take part entirely at your own risk, and you voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks of any exercise you perform or track with Gymbori.

Your data

Your workouts are stored on your phone, so keeping them safe is up to you. We recommend saving a backup file regularly. We are not responsible for workouts or other data that are lost, for example if you lose your phone, uninstall the app, or a bug or a failed restore damages them.

No warranty

GYMBORI AND OUR WEBSITES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THEY WILL BE ACCURATE, SAFE, UNINTERRUPTED OR FREE OF ERRORS. Gymbori is still being tested and may change or stop at any time.

Limit of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, GYMBORI AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, LOSS OF DATA, OR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF GYMBORI, OUR WEBSITES OR ANY EXERCISE YOU PERFORM.

Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law says cannot be taken away.

Changes

We reserve the right to change these terms, or to change or stop Gymbori, at any time. When we change these terms, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If you keep using Gymbori after a change, you agree to the updated terms.
